An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the business of insurance. It is expedient to consolidate and amend the law relating to the business of insurance; It is hereby enacted as follows : -

1.      This Act may be called the Insurance Act 1938..

2.      It extends to the whole of Pakistan.

3.      It shall come into force on such date 3 as the Central Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
